Funding is needed in all sub-specialties

OMeGA has awarded 140 fellowship grants in 9 sub-specialty categories, 69 residency grants, and 19 residency core competency innovation grants in the past 3-1/2 years.  There were many more meritorious applications that were unfunded. In fact, only 30% of requestors received OMeGA grants; we know the need for additional donors is great. Fellowship grants as a percentage of total amount requested by category ranged from 2 to 59%; Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Hand & Upper Extremity, Foot & Ankle and Pediatrics are sub-specialties where OMeGA was only able to fund a small percentage of the applications received.
