Funding is needed in all sub-specialties

OMeGA has awarded 193 fellowship grants in 9 sub-specialty categories, 92 residency grants, and 19 residency core competency innovation grants in the past 4 years.  There were many more meritorious applications that were unfunded. In fact, only 36% of requestors have received OMeGA grants; we know the need for additional donors is great.

For the 2013-2014 academic year, fellowship grants as a percentage of total amount requested by category ranged from 1.5% to 36%; Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Hand & Upper Extremity, Foot & Ankle and Pediatrics are sub-specialties where OMeGA was only able to fund a small percentage of the applications received.
